Community Guidelines for Sharing FeisTV Footage
FeisTV invests significant time, infrastructure and rights agreements to film and broadcast Irish dance competitions around the world. These broadcasts exist because formal permissions were negotiated over many years.
To protect the integrity of those agreements and to ensure that Irish dance can continue to be shared globally, the following guidelines apply to all FeisTV footage.
Short clips may be shared on social media provided the following conditions are met:
• Clips must be no longer than a full step or one set part
• The FeisTV watermark must remain fully visible and unaltered
• The FeisTV website URL and social channels must be clearly tagged in the post
• A direct link to the relevant FeisTV event page should be included if appropriate
The following uses are not permitted:
• Posting full performances (including complete championship rounds or full set dances)
• Cropping, zooming or editing footage to remove or obscure the FeisTV watermark
• Uploading full routines or standalone performances to platforms such as YouTube
If you wish to direct viewers to a full performance, please reference the broadcast on FeisTV (for example: Event, Day, Stage and approximate time).
These guidelines help protect the broadcast agreements that allow FeisTV to film and share Irish dance competitions worldwide.
